This policy explains how the Jolvex public site uses cookies and browser storage. The public site sets exactly one cookie, which remembers your measurement consent choice; Cloudflare Web Analytics uses no cookies; Google Analytics 4 loads only after you explicitly allow analytics cookies.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website places in your browser, typically to keep state or track usage. Local storage (localStorage) is a separate browser mechanism; the data stays on your device.
Cookies we use
The only cookie the public site sets is the measurement consent preference: jolvex_analytics_consent_v1=granted or denied, valid for 180 days. It records only whether you allow analytics cookies and holds no identifying data. Beyond it, the site sets no other essential, analytics or marketing cookies.
Cloudflare Web Analytics runs continuously on jolvex.xyz. It is managed by Cloudflare, reports only aggregate, non-personal performance data, sets no cookies, and is independent of your analytics-cookie choice.
Google Analytics 4 is active (measurement id G-1Y7MMC6FZD), delivered through Cloudflare Zaraz from the edge: until you allow it, no measurement script loads and no measurement request is made. After you choose "Allow analytics cookies", the browser loads only the same-origin Zaraz loader and Cloudflare's edge forwards events to Google server-side (your browser never contacts a Google origin directly, and the current configuration sets no analytics cookies in your browser; if this ever changes we will update this policy first). Advertising purposes stay permanently denied.

Browser local storage
The theme preference is stored in localStorage under the key jolvex-theme. Clearing your browser's site data removes it; after clearing, the site falls back to following your system theme.
Your consent choice now lives in the first-party cookie above. If your browser still holds the earlier localStorage key jolvex-consent, the site migrates it into the cookie on the next load and then stops using localStorage for consent.
Change your consent settings
Measurement stays your decision and you can change it at any time. Use the control below to re-open the consent banner and choose "Allow analytics cookies" or "Use necessary cookies only" again; the new choice applies immediately, without reloading the page. Switching from allow to deny clears the _ga* cookies Jolvex controls right away, and Google measurement stops completely on your next page load (the measurement loader no longer loads).
Third parties
Fonts are all self-hosted; we use no Google Fonts or any other third-party font service. Third-party measurement is exactly two things: Cloudflare Web Analytics (aggregate data, no cookies) and the consent-gated Google Analytics 4 (never loaded before you allow it). Beyond these, browsing the public site sends no other third-party statistics or marketing requests.
Changes to this policy
If any other cookie is ever introduced (for example for personalisation), we will update this policy and the consent flow before enabling it.
